At Rosa’s Thai, we’ve come a long way since our founders, Saiphin and Alex, opened their first restaurant back in 2006. They couldn’t afford a new sign at their East End café — so they kept the old name over the door. “Rosa’s Café” was reborn, and a new chapter of Thai food in the UK began.

Fast forward to today, and there are now over 46 Rosa’s Thai Cafés across the country — still serving the same authentic Thai flavours, with the same passion, goals, and values.


About the Role

We’re looking for a Sous Chef to join our growing Rosa’s family and be the right-hand to our Head Chef.

As a Sous Chef at Rosa’s Thai, you’ll play a vital role in leading the kitchen team, ensuring every dish is cooked to perfection, and keeping our guests coming back for more.


What You’ll Do

  • Support the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management and food preparation
  • Maintain Rosa’s high standards of flavour, presentation, and consistency
  • Lead, motivate, and train junior kitchen staff
  • Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and health standards are met
  • Manage stock levels and control kitchen costs effectively
  • Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong experience as a Junior Sous ready to step up
  • A genuine love of food — especially bold Thai flavours!
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Calm under pressure and a true team player
  • A commitment to doing things the Rosa’s Way — with pride, passion, and positivity
